データベースシステムに関する基礎的事項を体系的に整理すると共に，その応用例についても論じる．
大規模データを管理，利活用するための基本的手法を理解する．

This course covers database design and the use of databases in applications, with a short introduction to the internals of relational database engines. It includes extensive coverage of the relational model, relational algebra, and SQL for Big Data.

＜授業計画及び準備学習＞

この講義はデータベースコア/データベース応用の論文誌および国際会議の論文を題材に輪講形式で進める．
具体的には，各回のテーマに沿った論文を担当者が紹介し，その内容について議論する．

This course is conducted by group discussion about database systems using research papers on the journal and conference as follows.
Specifically, students introduce the paper of each theme.
