＜授業のねらい＞
古代から現代までの都市史、都市建築史を日本を中心に概説し、それらの自然、社会的な背景や文化的な意味を考えていく。基本的な通史を踏まえたうえで、都市や建築を規定する要素、特徴的な都市建築、現代的な課題などに関する個別のトピックをとりあげる。
＜具体的な到達目標＞
日本の都市とそこに存在した建築について、各時代の特質とその背景について理解する。
日本都市史と都市建築史の基礎的な知識、見方を習得する。
以上を通じて我々の目の前に広がる都市と建築に対する意識を培う。

定期試験を実施しない。

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

中間および期末レポート（８０％）、毎回の授業の最後に提出する小レポート（２０％）　
Interim & Term paper (80%), small reports at each lectures (20%)
