<授業のねらい及び具体的な到達目標>
木質構造の構造要素である材料、部材、接合部、耐力壁及び水平構面についてその種別と性能を学び、木質構造の持つ特徴と、それを考慮した構造設計法の基礎的な考え方を修得する。
This course introduces the classification and performance of materials, members, joints, shear walls and horizontal frames, which are the structural elements of timber structures. Participants are expected to understand the characteristics of timber structures, and the basic concept of structural design method considering the characteristics.

<授業計画及び準備学習>
1.ガイダンス
 概論に加えて木質材料および木質構造の研究史を学ぶ
2.材料等の試験法
 木質材料・接合部・部材の試験法・評価法を学ぶ
3.壁量規定の背景
 壁量規定の変遷とその根拠を学ぶ
4.耐力壁の配置
 耐力壁の釣合よい配置の規定の根拠を学ぶ
5.耐力壁構造の継手仕口
 耐力壁周辺の柱頭柱脚接合部の設計の考え方を学ぶ
6.木質構造の構造計算法
 耐力壁構造その他の木質構造について現行の構造計算法を学ぶ 
7.耐震診断法
 木造住宅の耐震診断法の具体的内容とその考え方を学ぶ
8.伝統木造住宅の耐震性−1
 伝統木造の耐震要素について実験や解析例から学ぶ
9.伝統木造住宅の耐震性−2
 伝統木造住宅の耐震設計法について、実大振動実験の例を見ながら学ぶ
10.木質ハイブリッド構造
 耐火構造の考え方も含めて木質ハイブリッド構造の可能性と事例について学ぶ
11.中層木造−1
 集成材構造や枠組壁構法などの中層木造の可能性について振動実験、火災実験の例を見ながら学ぶ
12.中層木造−2
 中層木造を可能にする新材料CLTについて最新の研究動向を含めて学ぶ
13.地震被害と等価線形化法
 地震被害と地震動の関係を、近年の地震被害および等価線形化法に基づく応答予測から学ぶ。
14.津波被害等
 東北地方太平洋沖地震における木質構造の津波被害等について学ぶ

準備学習としては、木質構造の各種構法を理解しておくこと、また、壁量計算の考え方を復習しておくこと。

Learning the test and evaluation method of timber based-materials, joints and members
3. Background of the building standard of shear wall ratio
Learning the history and the basis of the building standard of shear wall ratio
4. Arrangement of shear walls
Learning the basis of the building standard of shear wall arrangement
5. Joints in wall structures 
Learning the basic concept of the design of joints at the top and the bottom of columns at the side of shear walls
6. Structural calculation method of timber structures
Learning current structural calculation method of wall structures and other timber structures
7. Method of seismic diagnosis
Learning the concrete contents and the basic concept of the seismic diagnosis on timber houses
8. Seismic performance of traditional timber houses – 1
Learning about seismic structural elements in traditional timber houses by the examples of test and analysis
9. Seismic performance of traditional timber houses – 2
Learning about seismic design method of traditional timber houses while seeing examples of actual size shaking table test
10. Timber based hybrid structure
Learning possibility and cases of timber based hybrid structures including the concept of fire resistive structures
11. Middle rise timber buildings – 1
Learning possibility of middle rise timber buildings by glulam structure, wood frame construction, etc. while seeing examples of shaking table test and fire test
12. Middle rise timber buildings – 2
Learning the new material, CLT, which enables middle rise timber buildings, including recent research trend
13. Damage by earthquake and equivalent linearization method
Learning the relationship between damage of buildings and ground motion from recent actual disaster and prediction by equivalent linearization method
14. Damage by Tsunami, etc.
Learning damage by Tsunami, etc. on timber structures during Tohoku Pacific Ocean Earthquake

As learning of preparations, students are required to understand various kinds of construction method of timber structure and to review the basis of the calculation of shear wall ratio.

<成績評価方法及び水準>
レポート課題(2回程度)およびその発表により評価を行う。授業で説明した内容を理解した上で、木質構造の設計法について発展的な考察ができること。
Grading will be decided based on reports (probably twice) and presentation based on the reports. The required level is to be able to make developed consideration after understanding the explanation in this course about the design of timber structures.
