＜授業のねらい及び具体的な到達目標＞

Aims and Specific Goals
ゲノムとは何かを学び、ヒトゲノムの構造と特徴について理解する。ヒトゲノムが完全解読された現在、ゲノム医療という新しい医療が生まれている。医薬品開発も含め、がんの治療等の医学にゲノム情報がいかに活用されているかという最先端の知見を紹介する。１塩基多型（ＳＮＰ）などヒトの多様性やゲノムと病気との関連について理解することを目標とする。
This is a graduate-level genomics course. Objectives are as follows. To learn what is genome. To learn about the structure and characteristic of genome. Now that human genome is sequenced, Genome Medicine has become available. To know how genome information is used for medicine including drug design and cancer therapy. To understand relations between diseases and genome (genome diversities including single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs)).

4. The differences between human genome and other organisms' genome---there is only 1% differences between human genome and chimpanzee genome

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

Evaluation
出席とレポートにより評価し、それぞれ60点以上を合格とする。
Evaluation:
Students must submit a report at the end of term about genomics. Attendance and report are scored and students who got over 60 point get grade.
