＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

To improve student's English communication skills, build their vocabulary and advance their reading skills.

＜授業計画及び準備学習＞

The objectives of this course are to improve the students' communicative competence and advance their reading skills. Although there is no strict format for each lesson, the main body of each class will involve; listening activites, pair-work, vocabulary extension and reading / DVD comprehension. Student's are encouraged to converse in English at all times.

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

Evaluation will be based on:
a) classroom participation
b) a short exam on the final day

＜教科書＞

There is no textbook for this course. All materials will be provided by the course tutor.

＜オフィスアワー＞

The lecturer will be on campus for the duration of the course only.

＜学生へのメッセージ＞

As the class size is small and the study intensive, this course can be extrememly beneficial for students who want to consolidate and improve their English speaking / listening skills. All materials will be carefully selected so students should not feel intimidated by the course. Come with a positive attitude, enjoy your lessons and watch your English improve!
