<授業のねらい>
The objective of the course is to encourage students to communicate about their lives, culture, and interests using written and spoken English. This will be done through speaking practice and short writing assignments. Elements of reading and listening will also be included.

Syllabus
1. Reading and quiz - Reading exercise about coffee production. (For next week, students prepare for writing about daily life).
2. Writing book - students write about thier daily life. (For next week, students prepare for speaking about Time).
3. Speaking practice about telling Time. (For next week, students prepare for writing about Time).
4. Writing book - students write about the Time in thier daily life. (For next week, students prepare for a listening quiz).
5. Listening exercise and quiz - students will listen to an video story and answer comprehension questions. (For next week, students prepare for speaking about Shoppng).
6. Speaking practice about Shopping. (For next week, students prepare for the first speaking test).
7. Speaking Test. (For next week, students prepare for writing about Things in a House).
8. Writing book - Writing paragraphs about objects in the rooms of a house. (For next week, students prepare for reading about Dogs).
9. Reading exercise and quiz about Dogs. (For next week, students prepare for speaking about Movies).
10. Speaking practice about the Movies. (For next week, students prepare for speaking about University LIfe).
11. Speaking practice about Uinveristy LIfe. (For next week, students prepare for Listening exercise about).

<成績評価方法>
Evaluation will be based on writing in the textbook, two listening quizzes, two reading quizzes, class participation in speaking practice, and attendance.
The instructor will supply all speaking, listening, and reading material.
