＜授業のねらい＞

The purpose of this course is to improve the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing with particular emphasis on speaking and listening. The primary focus will be on developing listening comprehension and speaking skills necessary for everyday communicative situations.

＜受講にあたっての前提条件＞

It is mandatory that students are equipped with the knowledge of grammar and vocabulary that are taught at senior high school level in Japan. Also, students are asked to actively participate in the work that is given in class.

＜具体的な到達目標＞

The objective of the course is to encourage students to communicate about their lives, culture, and interests using English. The students will work in pairs and groups and learn how to initiate and continue conversations. At the end of this course, students should be confident enough to perform a variety of communicative tasks and other interpersonal communication in English.
