△Communication Skills for Global Engineers IB[1420]

＜授業のねらい＞

国際的に活躍するエンジニアを育成するため、このコースでは、使える英語、コミュニケーション力向上のためにリスニング、スピーキングにおける流暢さ、英語による適切で正確な表現力を重点的に身につける訓練を行う。授業はネイティブイングリッシュスピーカーによる全て英語の授業である。１学年の学生は１年間を通じて日本語から英語、英語から日本語に翻訳する癖をなくすことを目標に、まずは基礎的な日常会話を中心として、英語の文化も取り入れ、楽しみながら取り組んでいただく。授業内では与えられた課題に応じて文章作成、ロールプレイ、ディスカッション、ディベートを小グループに分かれて行っていく。

＜受講にあたっての前提条件＞

There are no pre-requisites, although a thorough study of high school grammar and vocabulary and completion of the first semester course will help prepare students for this course.

＜具体的な到達目標＞

Students will practice all four skills in English and will develop basic skills in discussing topics in small groups, writing short reports, and giving presentations using Powerpoint.
