○Basic Writing Skills in Eng lish B[5128]

＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

The aim of this course is to improve the students' abilities to produce written materials utilizing English writing structures. The students will begin by working on paragraph structure: topic sentence, supporting ideas, and concluding sentence, and progress to essay writing: introduction, body, and conclusion. Various writing styles will also be given attention including: descriptive writing, argumentative writing, business letters, and proposals. Reading materials will be used to model these writing structures and to build and reinforce vocabulary. The medium of instruction will be English so as to assist in building the Students' oral and aural abilities.
