○ライティングＩ（English Writing I）[2419]

＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

The aim of this course is to improve the students’ abilities to utilize basic language formations. Focus will be on formal and colloquial grammar formations necessary for communication through English in common place situations. Reading materials will be used to model these language formations and to build and reinforce vocabulary. The medium of instruction will be English so as to assist in building the students’ oral and aural abilities.

＜授業計画及び準備学習＞

作文と発表が中心の授業。モデルとなる英文を読み、文法事項を確認し、パラグラフの構成法を学びながら、テーマに沿った英文を書き、教室で発表する。

前期：
・第1回：イントロダクション。
・第2回：教科書の演習に入る。準備学習として教科書の予習をすること。
・第3回〜第14回：2回の授業で1章の目安で進める。適宜プレゼンの機会を設ける。
・第15回：学習成果の確認（試験）。前回までの総復習をすること。

後期：
・第16回：イントロダクション。
・第17回〜第29回：2回の授業で1章の目安で進める。適宜プレゼンの機会を設ける。
・第30回：学習成果の確認（試験）。前回までの総復習をすること。

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

課題を含むテキストの演習が50パーセント、各試験が50パーセント。総合して60点以上を合格とする。
