＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

The primary focus of this course will be on developing listening comprehension and speaking skills necessary for everyday communicative situations. At the end of this course, students should be able to perform a variety of communicative tasks including short presentations in English with a fairly high degree of fluency and accuracy.

＜授業計画及び準備学習＞

The goal is to create an environment where the students can relax and be ready to communicate. Then, we will gradually expand topics to talk and develop communication skills. We also will have listening activities using materials with naturally spoken English. At the end of the course, we will discuss more interesting and relevant topics and exchange opinions. These are designed to help develop thinking and expressing ideas.

Preparation
Students are notified of their presentation topics in advance.

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

Evaluation will be continuous throughout the course. Grades will be based on the following.
Attendance: 30%, Attitude: 30%, Class performance: 20%, One term test: 20%

No textbook.
Teacher will supply all class materials.

Wednesdays 9:00-1:00
Thursdays 2:00-6:00
