○ライティングＩＩ（English Writing II）[4E27]

＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

The aim of this course is to improve the students’ abilities to produce written materials utilizing English writing structures. The students will begin by working on paragraph structure: topic sentence, supporting ideas, and concluding sentence, and progress to essay writing: introduction, body and conclusion. Various writing styles will also be given attention including: descriptive writing, argumentative writing, expository writing, business letters, and proposals. Reading materials will be used to model these writing structures and to build and reinforce vocabulary. The medium of instruction will be English so as to assist in building the students’ oral and aural abilities.

＜授業計画及び準備学習＞

　一つのUNITを二回くらいのペースで進めていきます。
前期でだいたい、７UNITほど進める予定です。
後期は同じペースでテキストの残りの部分を進めます。
わからない単語は、調べて授業に臨んでください。また辞書は必ず、授業に持参してください。
毎回授業で、単語のテストをする予定です。

　授業の出席率、提出物、プレゼンテーション、定期試験による総合評価。
