○Basic Reading Skills II[2329]

＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

The aim of this course is to improve students' reading ability, including speed and comprehension. They will do so using the topics in the textbook as well as other
supplementary materials.

＜授業計画及び準備学習＞

Each class period will cover one chapter in the first half of the “Reading Advantage 2” textbook. Covered in each chapter will be; oral pre-reading questions, target vocabulary definitions plus chapter idioms, the actual reading, reading comprehension questions, vocabulary reinforcement questions, close questions, and post reading discussion questions. I will give as much individual help as possible to each student while they are doing the chapter work.

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

Students’ grades will be based on the results of the final examination at the end of
the semester.
ATTENDANCE
Absents - Students will fail on the fourth absence.
Lates - After more than 15 minutes late, students will be marked absent. Three lates will be
considered one absent.
