The purpose of this course is to improve the skills of listening speaking reading and writing with particular emphasis on speaking and listening

Week 1: Introduction: Explanation of Course Guidelines; first pair work exercises (Personal Profiles)

Week 2: Begin Unit One: alphabet, greetings and leave takings, names, addresses numbers and phone numbers.

Week 3: Review previous week; Finish Unit One. Make Unit 1 Test Questions

Week 4: Unit 1 Video

Week 5: Unit 2, possession, locations

Week 6: Review previous week. Finish Unit 2. Make Unit 2 Test Questions.

Week 7: Unit 2 Video, Units 1-2 Quiz

Week 8: Begin Unit 3, cities, countries, nationalities, adjectives of personality and appearance.

Week 9: Review previous week; finish Unit 3. Make Unit 3 Test Questions.

Week 10: Unit 3 Video

Week 11: Unit 4, clothing, colors, weather, seasons.

Week 12: Review previous week. Finish Unit 4.Make Unit 4 Test Questions.

Week 13: Test Practice Day, test coaching and general review.

Week 14: Oral Tests, 50% of class.

Week 17: Unit 5, clock time, time of day, every day activities.

Week 18: Review of previous week. Finish Unit 5. Unit 5 Test Questions

Week 20: Unit 6, transportation, family relationships, daily/weekly routines.

Week 23: Unit 7, houses, apartments, rooms, furniture.
