○ライティングＩＩ（English Writing II）[5419]

＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

The aim of this course is to improve the students’ abilities to produce written materials utilizing English writing structures. The students will begin by working on paragraph structure: topic sentence, supporting ideas, and concluding sentence, and progress to essay writing: introduction, body, and conclusion. Various writing styles will also be given attention including: descriptive writing, argumentative writing, expository writing, business letters, and proposals. Reading materials will be used to model these writing structures and to build and reinforce vocabulary. The medium of instruction will be English so as to assist in building the students’ oral and aural abilities.

＜授業計画及び準備学習＞

教科書に付属のＣＤを使ってＤｉｃｔａｔｉｏｎやＳｈａｄｏｗｉｎｇをしながら英文をＰａｒａｇｒａｐｈ単位でたくさん覚えることをおもに行う。

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

出席率、授業態度、授業内の小テスト、提出物、プレゼンテーション及び定期試験を総合的に判断して成績を評価し、６０点以上のものに単位を認める。
