○Basic Writing Skills II[3381]

＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

This course is a continuation of BWS I.

In BWS II, students will focus on illustrating the English they wrote in BWS I and writing an essay about the content of what they wrote in BWS I.

＜授業計画及び準備学習＞

Class time will be spent writing. In class, students should discuss their writing with the professor.

Sep 14: Payment for Bound Copy of Writing Due (750 yen)
Oct 05: PB1 Illustrations Due and Essay Draft 1 Due
Oct 26: PB2 Illustrations Due and Essay Draft 2 Due
Nov 16: PB3 Illustrations Due and Essay Draft 3 Due
Dec 07: PB4 Illustrations Due and Essay Draft 4 Due

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

As this is a writing course, your grade is entirely based on your writing. If you turn in your writing on time, you will get a good grade. If you are late in turning in your writing, you will get a bad grade. If you do not turn in your writing, you will fail the course.

＜教科書＞

There is no textbook. Students will be provided with sample model essays.

All students will receive a bound copy of their writing and their classmates' writing. Students will be charged 750 yen to pay for the binding payable to the professor.

＜参考書＞

Students will need a dictionary to help them write.

＜オフィスアワー＞

As a part-time and temporary worker, I have no office. Thus, I have no office hours. Students must communicate with me in the classroom before or during class. I will not talk with students after class.

Do not be late to or absent from the first class of the semester (September 14).

Do not be late to or absent from the last class of the semester (January 11).

Please do not use translation software to write English.
