＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

The aim of this course is to improve the students’ general knowledge and abilities to use English across the four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. While there will be some reading (primarily for modeling language patterns and for establishing the class’s general knowledge of a topic that will serve as discussion content) and writing (to reinforce grammatical formations and vocabulary), Interactive English A will focus on developing the students’ oral/aural skills in the following areas: greetings and introductions, initial conversations, discerning basic information in everyday settings/survival English (dining, shopping, hotels, transportation, directions).

＜授業計画及び準備学習＞

毎回、日常生活のさまざまな場面（ホテルのチェック・イン、レストランでの注文、道案内など）を設定し、口頭でのコミュニケーション能力を育成する。

　　準備学習：教科書p.1の問題、小テストの準備
3. Unit 3 (Asking about facilities, Describing locations)
　　準備学習：教科書p.11の問題、小テストの準備
4. Unit 1 & 3 復習
　　準備学習：小テストの準備
5. Unit 4 (Asking about schedule, Telling time)
　　準備学習：教科書p.16の問題、小テストの準備
6. Unit 5 (Telling about days/dates, Asking about availability)
　　準備学習：教科書p.21の問題、小テストの準備
7. Unit 4 & 5 復習

8. Unit 1〜5(2を除く）総復習
　　準備学習：小テストの準備
9. ロール・プレー　テスト 1

10. Unit 7 (Checking in at a hotel, Asking for a service)

15.学習成果の確認（試験）
　　準備学習：教科書Unit 1〜10(2,6,9を除く）の総復習

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

授業内で行う小テストとロール・プレーのテスト(２回）を約60％、最終回に行う試験を約40％の割合で配点し、総合して60点以上を合格とする。
ただし、出席回数が3分の2に満たない学生は履修放棄とみなし成績評価を行わない。
