○Introduction to Communicative English II[1122]

＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

この授業では、学生の英語運用能力を４技能（listening・speaking・reading・writing）すべての側面から、総合的に英語コミュニケーション能力を伸ばすことを目標としている。授業では、主として英語で聞いたり、話したりする活動に重点をおき、ICE I で習得した内容を応用するかたちで、自分の意見をまとめたり、社会で関心の高い話題を議論したりする技術・能力を養成する。このような活動を通して学生には、異文化コミュニケーションの実践的方法を習得することが望まれる。

＜授業計画及び準備学習＞

Students will continue to work in pairs and in small groups to carry out short tasks in English and to practise various elements of the target language. Students may be asked to perform role plays and other simulations in front of the class.

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

Grading will be based on three main elements: 1) participation/attendance/attitude; 2) quizzes/homework/workbook assignments; and 3) an end-of-term test.

Please bring a bilingual dictionary to class every day (either electronic or book-style). You will also need a B5 size binder to keep looseleaf notes and handouts in.
