＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

The goal of this class is to give students practice in speaking in realistic situations in Japan.

＜授業計画＞

Each unit will consist of three components.

Part 1: The instructor will present a video scenario based either on the character of Mr. Bean or a news story from Japanese news.
Part 2: The students will work on a work sheet in preparation for speaking practice
Part 3: There will be speaking practice with the students working in groups.

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

Students at any level are encouraged to take this class. It is not an advanced class and even beginners will make significant progress. Evaluation will come from the student's willingness to make positive contributions to the class/

No text needed. The instructor will supply all required materials.

＜参考書＞

A good Japanese-English English-Japanese dictionary is necessary

Tuesday 6pm-9pm

Most students find English conversation difficult but it need not be. This class will help students of any level make progress in speaking about interesting subjects from their own lives and society.

Steady attendance is required as is positive contributions to the progress of the class.
