＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

The purpose of this class is to help students become comfortable with basic English communication skills. The focus will be on speaking and listening. Attention will also be given to writing and reading skills. Basic grammar types will be utilized in order to facilitate meaningful conversation.

＜授業計画＞

The class will follow the text outline with respect to the material to be covered in each lesson. Essentially, the focus will be on developing basic communicative skills. These include things like self-introductions, providing basic personal information, giving/receiving directions, asking questions, building vocabulary and survival English necessary for shopping, eating in restaurants and travel.

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

The individual evaluations will be made up from class participation, quizzes, and tests. It is important to understand that class participation is fundamental to building meaningful language skills. Therefore, students must be prepared to dedicate themselves to regular attendance.

In order to be successful in this class, you must make a commitment to attend the class regularly, do the homework and be prepared to make mistakes. Mistakes are opportunities to learn.
