○ライティングＩＩ（English Writing II）[2566]

＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

The aim of this course is to improve the students’ abilities to produce written materials utilizing English writing structures. The students will begin by working on paragraph structure: topic sentence, supporting ideas, and concluding sentence, and progress to essay writing: introduction, body, and conclusion. Various writing styles will also be given attention including: descriptive writing, argumentative writing, expository writing, business letters, and proposals. Reading materials will be used to model these writing structures and to build and reinforce vocabulary. The medium of instruction will be English so as to assist in building the students’ oral and aural abilities.

＜授業計画＞

文法の基礎を確認しながら、新聞英語の基本的な語法に習熟することを目標とします。記事の内容が凝縮された見出しを、正確に理解できるよう演習を行います。簡単な意見文を書く機会も設けたいと考えています。

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

原則として前期・後期に行う定期試験が60点以上を合格とします。小テスト、提出物などの平常点も最終的な成績評価の対象となります。前期・後期の授業をそれぞれ3分の1以上欠席した者は、定期試験の受験資格を失うので注意すること。
