○Basic Writing Skills II[4269]

＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

この授業では、学生の英語運用能力を４技能（listening・speaking・reading・writing）すべての側面から、総合的に英語コミュニケーション能力を伸ばすことを目標としている。授業では、主として英語を書く活動に重点をおき、BRW I で習得したライティングスキルを強化しながら、それを発展させ、描写文や説明文、論証文などのスタイルの文章が書けるようにする。さらに、パラグラフ・ライティングの構成法を確実に習得し、実践的なライティング・コミュニケーション能力の養成を目指す。

＜授業計画＞

This course will continue the focus on improving your written skills in English. This is essentially a hands-on skill class where you will be asked to write regularly. We will be using the textbook for skill practice and writing topics. Every paragraph of topic writing will be collected, corrected, graded, and returned to you. Every paragraph of topic writing will be started in class but will be finished for homework and collected the following week. Every paragraph must be typed, double-spaced, on A4 paper and have a word count at the bottom.
DO NOT USE COMPUTER TRANSLATION SOFTWARE OR COPY FROM SOMEWHERE AS YOU WILL RECEIVE A GRADE OF ZERO FOR THAT PARAGRAPH!
