○Basic Reading Skills II[4117]

＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

この授業では、学生の英語運用能力を４技能（listening・speaking・reading・writing）すべての側面から、総合的に英語コミュニケーション能力を伸ばすことを目標としている。授業では、主として英語で読む活動に重点をおく。特に、BRS I で習得したリーディングスキルを活用してテキストの内容を理解することはもちろん、そこから自身の議論や主張を展開させるための分析的な読解へと発展させる活動を行い、Critical Thinking の養成を目指す。

＜授業計画＞

This course will continue the first semester’s focus on improving your skills in reading, understanding and discussing English texts. We will move quickly each week through textbook readings and small group discussions. Bring your textbook to class every week and be prepared to read, interact, and discuss issues and topics.
