＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

講読による文章理解を重視した英語教育。平易な英文で書かれた言語材料を用いて，基本的な構文学習から，パラグラフの展開，文脈把握，論旨のまとめを目ざす。
In this reading course, students will read interesting articles while studying vocabulary and practice speaking in English. Students will also learn important reading skills, such as predicting, scanning, skimming, and guessing word meaning from context.

＜授業計画＞

Students will work in pairs and in small groups to exchange information about the readings and class handouts. Students are encouraged to express their own opinions and ideas in class discussions and occasionally in written exercises.

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

Weekly attendance, class participation, completion of homework, in-class assignments, and test scores will determine the final grade. 20% attendance 20% participation 60% homework and tests
