＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

The aim of this course is to improve the students’ general knowledge and abilities to use English across the four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. While there will be some reading (primarily for modeling language patterns and for establishing the class’s general knowledge of a topic that will serve as discussion content) and writing (to reinforce grammatical formations and vocabulary), “Interactive English B” will focus on developing the students’ oral/aural skills in the following areas: intercultural communication (critical thinking applied to cross-cultural communication), discussion of social issues, problem solving/working in English, forming a hodological map of the target language.

＜授業計画＞

さまざまな国や地域の文化や社会に関するテーマを取り上げ、異文化理解を深めながら、グループ・ディスカッション、種々のアクティビティを通して、英語運用技術を習得できるよう練習する。

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

毎回授業における小テストの点数、課題への取り組み、学習態度を約６０％、定期試験結果を約４０％の比重で配点し、総合して６０点以上を合格とする。
