＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

The focus of this course will be on developing listening comprehension and speaking skills. Each lesson will be taught entirely in English, and all class activities will be conducted in English. In this course, learners will have the opportunity to develop communicative ability in English through various pair and group task-based speaking and listening activities.

＜授業計画＞

We will use our text as the basis for much of the listening comprehension practice and, to a lesser degree, many of the speaking activities. Chapters 1 to 6 will be covered in the first term and chapters 7 to 12 in the second term. In addition to the core text, we will also use supplemental study materials and activities throughout the year. Each class period will include practice in listening comprehension and practical communicative activities as well as occasional speeches and presentations. Additional homework study from our text will be assigned on a regular weekly basis.

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

Evaluation will be objective and continuous throughout the course. Grades will be based on each student's score on homework assignments, listening quizzes and written tests at the end of each term.
