○Introduction to Communicative English II[2405]

＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

The aim of this course is to improve the students’ general knowledge and abilities to use English across the four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. While there will be some reading (primarily for modeling language patterns and for establishing the class’s general knowledge of a topic that will serve as discussion content) and writing (to reinforce grammatical formations and vocabulary), “Introduction to Communicative English II” will focus on developing the students’ oral/aural skills in the following areas: intercultural communication (critical thinking applied to cross-cultural communication), discussion of social issues, problem solving/working in English, forming a hodological map of the target language.

前期に同じく国際的なステージで交わされる英語表現を学ぶ。listening comprehension　を鍛えるためにさまざまなショート・ストリーをテープを通して聞く。更に、英語のリズムを覚えるために、１９６０−１９７０年代のポップ・ミュージックを聞く。

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

定期試験（配分６０％）を期末に行う。更に、毎回プリントを使用して、listening comprehension　の
小テストを行い、成績を評価する。
