○Introduction to Communicative English I[2401]

＜授業のねらい及び具体的な達成目標＞

The aim of this course is to improve the students’ general knowledge and abilities to use English across the four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. While there will be some reading (primarily for modeling language patterns and for establishing the class’s general knowledge of a topic that will serve as discussion content) and writing (to reinforce grammatical formations and vocabulary), “Introduction to Communicative English I” will focus on developing the students’ oral/aural skills in the following areas: greetings and introductions, initial conversations, discerning basic information in everyday settings/survival English (dining, shopping, hotels, transportation settings, directions etc.).

国際ビジネスマンとして国際的舞台で活躍するための英語表現を学ぶ。毎回listening comprehensionのテストを行い、TOEICのlistening 力を鍛える。テーマは「自己紹介」「会社紹介」「名刺の使い方」「株式の読み方」「販売拡張」「注文」「入札・落札」「知的財産の保護」等に及ぶ。

＜成績評価方法及び水準＞

定期試験（配分６０％）毎回の小テスト（配分４０％）。授業回数の３分の２以上は必ず出席すること。
